Summer on Stage

The Program

Delaware Theatre Company's Summer On Stage is a full-day exploratory arts enrichment program for children ages 8 to 15.

The camp offers a unique blend of instruction and performance as a creative alternative for your child's summer vacation.

Summer on Stage offers young people the unique opportunity to develop artistically and socially in a fun and safe learning environment. our instructors, who are theatre and education professionals, provide a supportive atmosphere while encouraging and challenging campers to expand their personal and creative horizons.

The day is full of activities. Half of the day, students participate in acting, improvisation, movement and voice, and stagecraft classes in age-appropriate groups. In the other half, students use the skills they are developing to create and rehearse original plays for a final performance on the Delaware Theatre Company stage!

Master Classes

Twice during each session, guest speakers will present special master classes. Master class topics from past summers include stage combat, Shakespeare, and radio drama.

The Facilities

Students will spend the entire session at a professional theatre! Summer on Stage will be located at Delaware Theatre Company, in the heart of Wilmington's vibrant Riverfront.
