MEET "FATS": Rollicking Tunester...Naughty Lyricist...SINNER

The three-time Tony Award winning musical, including the award for Best Musical in 1978!  Follow the journey of legendary jazzman, Thomas "Fats" Waller, in this tribute to popular 1920’s and ‘30’s musicians of the Harlem Renaissance.  Five performers encapsulate this iconic era of pride, creativity, and cultural awareness, all while inviting us into this sometimes sassy, sometimes sexy, always jazzy world.

"FATS WALLER combined so many distinctive talents that to try to bring them all together in a brief two-hour presentation and stamp them with his boisterous personality is like trying to catch the rainbow in a cup." - New York Times

"If you're a fan of the music of the Harlem Renaissance, you won't want to miss it." - Terry Ponick, DC Theatre Scene
